The Department of Business & Management Studies at the Faculty of Communication & Business Studies, Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, took a significant step towards educational empowerment, organized a workshop for O/L and A/L commerce teachers on July 22, 2023, at St. Joseph College in the Trincomalee District. The workshop was meticulously designed to identify and nurture strong potential teacher-leaders, aiming to enhance student achievement and foster the professional growth and sustainability of teachers within their teams. Led by esteemed resource persons including Mr T. Baskar, Dean of the Faculty of Communication & Business Studies, and Mrs L.M.A. Shamila, Lecturer (Probationary) in the Department of Business & Management Studies, the workshop provided invaluable insights and practical strategies to empower commerce teachers and elevate the standard of commerce education in the region.
